Sunday 08/16, 8am – 84km Gravel Combined Ride

Morning update: RIDE IS ON. Radar showing a slight chance of rain toward the tail end of the ride, but hopefully we luck out like last week.
The popular Sunday gravel rides continue, and with an updated format! We will be hosting a single gravel ride for all members to join, and this will be the format for the remainder of the season. The maximum pace for the ride will average 24-27kmh. If the group splits, we will regroup regularly throughout the route, so that the various pace groups can recombine and so no one is left behind!

Start time: 8:00am

Start locationGuelph Youth Music Centre (not the library). Plenty of parking for those arriving by car.

To sign up for this ride, you must complete the registration form found HERE.
All steps in the form MUST be completed.

The maximum number of riders able to join will be 15. Once the cap is reached, the sign-up form will automatically close.

We will have an early-ish refreshments stop, as there will not really be anywhere later in the ride to refill and refuel. We’ll stop briefly in Elora around the 33km mark.

Final call regarding the weather will be made no later than 7am on Sunday morning.

Sunday August 9th 8:00 AM Gravel Ride – Leisurely 82K

Radar is showing a bit of rain toward the start of the ride, but clearing shortly after. Might be a little damp at the start, but it’ll be gorgeous after. RIDE IS ON!

Lets’ try this again. This is last weeks cancelled gravel ride redux. It’s looking good for this Sunday and we’re excited about this route.

We’ll be meeting separately from the ‘Moderate’ riders. Our meeting place will be the South end of the parking lot near the building (see image below).

We’re going to head up the Kissing Bridge trail, over the ‘Flat Side of the Bridge’, check out Sandy Hills, then wind our way over to Elora for a nice coffee break at about the 50 km mark.  We’ll aim for a 22-24 kph average, depending on the makeup of the ride.

To join the ride, you will need to complete and submit the sign-up form, found HERE. All steps listed in the form MUST be completed.
