So ‘Relaxed’ no pedaling required!
Forecast says this isn’t happening.
Patients grasshopper, soon the spring peepers will summon us. Until then, stay warm and dry. See you on the road when it’s warmer (soon I hope).
Ride Cancelled: Storm cells are tracking to pour all over the ride. We will take in a lot of scenic roads as we head through Dundas and Ancaster. We will stop in for a bite to eat in Waterdown after tackling Sydenham Hill. The weather looks like it should be perfect for a long day in the saddle.
This ride is 45 kms of familiar stomping grounds – an array of gentle rollers with a final kick in the pants before the home stretch. We’ll start with a quick tour through downtown Eden Mills, then snake through, and keep off of, all the fresh gravel. The plan is to be home before dark. Bring lights just in case. BTW – this is my last ‘ride lead’ of the season and my last club ride until October. It’s been great riding with you and a great (albeit quick) season! Hope to see you soon.
PS Question: How many bike mechanics does it take to change a light bulb? Answer: (ask me on the ride)
You’ll be home by lunch with this nice 76 km CCW Fergus, Elora, West Montrose and Maryhill loop with no Middlebrook boneshaker! Bring a little cash and we’ll stop in Elora for coffee and fancy ice cream (if anyone wants one). The weather is looking fantastic! Looking forward to seeing you.
Ride Cancelled – the storm cell doesn’t appear to be weakening. A shorter route to make sure were back before the sun sets. We will be taking in the Col du Watson twice as well as Watsonberg which should make it pretty punchy. There is a good chance of some showers in the afternoon and evening the call will be made by 5:30.
