CLUB COMMUNICATION
This web site is the primary communication tool for the Speed River Cycling Club. The site contains the most up-to-date information available, and will be updated to reflect new information.
This site has been optimized for viewing at 1024x768 resolution utilizing Internet Explorer 5+. Your browser will need to have JavaScript enabled, and we recommend maximizing your viewing window.
Club members and the general public are encouraged to browse our site. You may do so anonomously. You can even browse our discussion forums without telling us who you are.
Discussion Forums
Our discussion forums provide an interactive means for club members to communicate with the club and with other club members. Many of the forum postings may be read without creating a Forum Profile. However, to post messages in the forum you'll need to create a Forum Profile and submit a club membership application (including signed waivers and dues payment).
Newly created Forum Profiles are automatically added to a ‘pending member’ group with read-only access to the forums. Upon receipt of a completed club membership application form, applicable dues, and signed waivers, the forum profiles of club members are given permission to post messages in the forums. Club members also have the ability to access additional forum folders, and use the Private Messenger feature of the forums to directly message other club members.
E-mail Communication
The Contact Information page contains a number of email address links for contacting the club.
From time to time we will send email to club members. To simplify this process we utilize distribution lists to send some messages, which has been known to cause some email filters to interpret our messages as spam. This can result in the messages being delivered to a Junk Email folder, or in some cases, not being delivered at all.
Club members are asked to ensure their email filters are configured so as to allow the delivery of email messages from the speedrivercyclingclub.org domain.
