Tonites route, tailor made for Jason May

This is tonites route. Seeing as it is light until 855pm and the temp will be an awesome 21/23 degrees this is a great night to extend the distance.

Purpose of ride: Max pace while keeping a good group together.
Meaning, we will push the pace as quick as we can but no violent accelerations/attacks etc. Working together lets try to get this ride done in a little over 2 hrs. For everyone who did last weeks ride it was a perfect example of working together to go as fast as possible.

KOM:Rattlesnake will be KOM #1 and 6th line will be KOM #2. After both KOMs there will be a minute or so reprieve to let the group get back together.
Blue Sign:One blue sign sprint only and that is the Arkell sign. Once we hit Arkell road the cohesion and 'togetherness' is gone. Pirate tactics are promoted so grab yer daggers and eye patches and prepare to beat the tar out of each other for the glory of the only blue sign sprint.

No seriously....big time sick......yes... again(the joys of children). Was hoping for a mostly flat ride I could sit on for a bit and then trundle home alone.....and this is what you give me?? I would actually welcome this route in normal circumstances....ride sounds awesome actually.... but this has all but sealed my decision for tonight......baring some miraculous improvement in my health or an incredilbe turn of stupidity (which is not out of the question).

g-dammit tim, that's a bit ambitious. this is how you convince thursday people to come out on tues?

i don't think i'm up for all the climbing, might just end up cutting across campbellville (to stop for a cappuccino) and meet back up on 6th line. i could convince more people to go if that were the route as well. i'll send out an email to our secret group, and see if i can recruit some people (most of them don't look at the forum, despite my nagging).

The fact that Tim has insisted that everyone regroup at the top of both climbs should negate the fear for the Thursday night crowd. Like I said....ride sounds awesome.....would be all over it normally....except that I am sick and have officially quit cycling.....again.

I will also tag along and do the modified route, skipping the snake and meeting back up on 6th.

very true gabhan but ... we need to keep upping the quality of the Tues rides.

Short and intense when light is short, longer and slightly less so when season progresses.
