I am in for this one. I think the shoulder might be able to handle some fast tempo at least.

ok, let's go for one of tim's classics:
http://maps.google.ca/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=104166454862645955258.0004850e7ce51c4794954&ll=43.480826,-80.165863&spn=0.277018,0.676346&z=11 looks like it's just under 70k, so maybe we could throw in the hespler bit to add a few more ks to it, and re-join downey/35 further along. -Gabhan |

nope, still closed i imagine, forgot about that. hmm, well, what if went down niska, and around sideroad 10 (by vettor's?). i don't think i've ever done that, but is that rideable? would get us around the construction.

It's rideable, but doesn't get us past the construction. We could take Gordon down to Clair, then cross the hanlon and take Laird to Downey, that should get us just past the closure.

sideroad 10 would drop us onto laird, and we'd continue that until hespler. is there more construction out that way? either that, or yep, take gordon to clair

Ah, gotcha: sideroad 10 is more of a trail than an actual road.
