There is rain on the radar but it should break up and stay south of us, so tonight we ride! Tonight we’ll head up north, swing by Rockwood Conservation and head up both 4th line hills, because going up hill is fun. With Halton having its love affair with chip seal I can’t guarantee there won’t be any gravel. Small chance of rain tonight so go/no-go will be made by 530. We should be back by dark with the early start, but bring lights in case.
Ride Cancelled – the storm cell doesn’t appear to be weakening. A shorter route to make sure were back before the sun sets. We will be taking in the Col du Watson twice as well as Watsonberg which should make it pretty punchy. There is a good chance of some showers in the afternoon and evening the call will be made by 5:30.
A “little” twist on a familiar route. We’ll head out through Eden Mills, down 4th and across SR 10 to the end. The route has a left at the intersection of Little Rd. and Small Rd. (actually!), followed by a short gravel section on Concession 11 up to 36. Alternate route would be straight up Little Rd., also gravel, to 36. Then it’s back on autopilot to Watson and up.
Surprise! Club ride is CANCELLED due to possibility of rain and EC thunderstorm watch. However, there’s a decent chance the storm cells will pass by to the south, so some will likely show up for an unofficial ride. We’ll head out to scenic Dublin Line tonight… hopefully. Once again, the forecast is not looking good. The call will be made by 5:30.
