Well, it’s the last official club ride of 2019… and it’s looking like rain. Let’s hope the forecast turns around. We’ll do a combined ride (all Sunday levels) clockwise to the south. Bring warm clothes!
A variation on the classic Fergus-Elora loop – let’s go clockwise! We’ll head to Maryhill first, then to Elora, where we can stop for a coffee if we wish, then off to Fergus and back home. A short gravel section on Jones Baseline, but it’s a beautiful, quiet road that shouldn’t be missed!
Official ride end point will be the trailhead for the Royal Recreational Trail/GORBA trails on Victoria Rd N.
Gorgeous conditions predicted for a classic CW loop that takes us down Watsonburg, past Crief and into Hespeler for a halfway stop at Creme Cafe (bring some cash for that). Then we continue up Chilligo to Maryhill, Ariss and back home all in time for lunch. EC says we’ll have a cool start of 15 degrees with no humidity and almost no wind and finishing under complete sun and 21 degrees. We’ll be riding at a leisurely 26 to 28 kph average. Apply your sunscreen under your arm warmers (weird!).
Be sure to join in for this very unique ride. We guarantee you will be riding in places you’ve never ridden before!

A rambley route along some familiar roads to the West. We’ll explore Hespeler, swing by Kitchener, and cruise through Breslau, Maryhill, and Ariss before hitting a small section of the Kissing Bridge Trailway rail trail for a nice tailwind push home. Options for stops in either Hespeler at the 30km mark, or in Maryhill at the 60km mark.
