Thursday May 18th A/B rides | 6:30pm

**RIDE IS CANCELLED** There is a SEVERE thunderstorm watch in effect. The radar shows small storm cells moving across Southern Ontario north of Guelph. I’m thinking it will miss us, but for everyones safety I’m cancelling the ride. Sorry for the late notice.

Here’s a quick recap on our Thursday night rides: The ‘A’ Group is a spirited group ride (32+ kph) with possible attacks (discouraged before halfway point). Dropped riders have the option to wait for and join the trailing ‘B’ Group. The ‘B’ Group does the same route but as a steady/organized group ride (28-32 kph), free of attacks–although some group separation may occur within final five kilometres. The forecast includes possible showers and thunderstorms. Watch here for a final decision in case of cancellation by 5:30 PM.

June 23rd Thursday A/B Ride | 6:30pm

Get ready for a tour of the roads southwest of Guelph. Attacks are likely on the ‘A’ ride. The ‘B’s will focus on a steady, 29-32 kph, no drop group ride–although some separation may occur as we “carry the speed” down Silvercreek. For those who need their Vitamin G, there is a 2.7km sector of smooth gravel on Woolwich Guelph Townline north of Hwy 7 to Maryhill Rd. NOTE: the end of the official Club ride is the parking lot of Paramount Sports (turn left on Fair Rd before Woodlawn). Double NOTE: Thursday Night Club Social has been moved up a week due to the long weekend so we’re heading to the Wooly after the ride. Bring money.

Thursday May 19th A/B rides | 6:30pm

UPDATE: Ignore the clouds–the ride is on! The ‘A’ Group will enjoy a spirited, 32+ kph romp (late attacks likely, dropped riders have the option to wait for and join the trailing ‘B’ Group). The ‘B’s will maintain a steady/organized 28 – 32 kph average speed for a gluten and attack free ride. Some separation may occur in the Mountsberg and Col de Watson area so let’s re-group at the corner of Watson and Leslie to bring the ride home in a civilized manner.
