Sunday Nov 1st 11 AM Gravel Ride

RIDE CANCELLED – We’ll try this one again next week.

Original Post: The forecast for this Sunday’s Gravel ride is “rain showers or flurries ” – so most likely will not run. Which will give you a chance to sleep in after too many mini Mars bars plus the time change and let you dream of this route running under (what is currently predicted to be) much warmer and better conditions next week.

Cancellation announcement for this ride will be made no later than 10 AM.

Tuesday Sept 1st 6:00 PM Group Road Rides

Weather Update: RIDE IS ON

Second last evening road ride for the 2020 season, boo! What a strange year. The sun is setting earlier, we should be home before dark, but bring lights.

The protocol is still the same. Three waves: Fast, Medium and Leisurely. Each wave will meet separately from the others. Please see the satellite map for your meeting spot.

The evening is strictly social pace-line format without surging or breaking apart. We’re looking for great group riding dynamics with good communications and hand signals. Be sure to see all our relevant web pages on Responsibilities, Group Ride GuidelinesSafetyPace-line and New Member information.

In the case of bad weather we are pre-scheduled for Wednesday as the rain date. Check back here for a weather cancellation announcement, it will be posted no less than one hour before the ride.

To join a ride, you need to fill in the appropriate sign-up form.  Click on the following links:

A Group – Advanced: 31-33 kph

B Group – Moderate  28-30 kph

C Group – Leisurely  25-27 kph

Start time: 6:00 PM, please be ready to pedal then. The days are getting shorter.

Start location: Arkell, the intersection of Watson and Arkell Roads

Please follow all the instructions in the link to join the ride. We are capped at 12 riders per group – the forms will disappear once each group is filled.

If you have any questions, please contact our Membership Experience Director, Meg

Below is the gathering locations for the three speed groups in Arkell. Give yourself enough time to be there and ready to pedal at 6:00 pm.
