Dare I say the weather looks perfect for this ride? I do. I do dare. Please be ready to roll from the East Branch of the Public Library for 6:30pm. There are two routes below: the A/B rides will take the longer route (first map), and the C ride will take the second, slightly shorter route.
New for 2019, Tuesday Interval Night (TIN) Ride begins at the Arkell United Church (not the Library! Click the text to see it on Google Maps).
It is a fun evening of riding where ALL club members can participate and work on the elements they desire: fitness, speed, endurance or just another nice night for a ride.
Riders will be organized into appropriate “waves”/groups of their choosing. Relaxed and Moderate groups will ride in a Social Paceline rotation and more Advanced groups will focus on High Intensity Interval Training. The circuit is comprised of quiet rural roads. There will be up to seven speed groups: everything from a dedicated “Learn to Group Ride” wave, all the way up to Hammerfest.
Check out our TIN Ride webpage for all the details. From the serious racer to the recreational rider, this is a terrific addition to your week. This ride has something for everyone. You are in for a treat!
CANCELLED: Between the radar’s imagery and Environment Canada’s Severe Thunderstorm warning, I am not going to wait until 5:00pm to cancel the official club ride for this evening. If a few brave souls want to ride the route, then please ride safe: the forecast is calling for high winds. A longer route while the days are still long. Check your tires before you leave, and bring your membership card and lights. Weather is looking iffy in the PM, so keep an eye here and I will make the call no later than 5pm. Note that next week is TT week!
Weather’s looking up for once: warm and still. Let’s go just south of the 401 to celebrate. Haven’t been out to an SRCC ride yet this season? Why not make it this one! Be sure to know the group riding guidelines and our safety and skills. Please bring your lights and membership card!
