Sunday September 6th, 8am Road Ride – 101k

This Sunday looks absolutely perfect for a long ride: little (forecasted) wind, sunny, nice and warm given that it’s September already!? When did that happen?

Let’s hope that the forecast comes true, and head out on some classic roads: the ride north of the Grand –featuring some fresh pavement on Middlebrook– is full of roads that SRCC riders have come to love. We’ll head north, then southeast along the river, and end with the West Montrose bridge and a nice, flat finish down Crowsfoot to bring it home. Perfect. See you there!

Start time: 8 AM

Start location: The Guelph East End Public Library. Plenty of parking for those arriving by car.

Check back here for weather cancellation announcement, it will be posted no less than one hour before the ride.

To join the ride, you will need to complete and submit the sign-up form, found HERE. All steps listed in the form MUST be completed.

Wednesday Social Ride: A,B, and C, August 14th @ 6:30pm

Each week the route gets a little shorter… *wipes away tear from cheek*

This week will start (as per usual) from the East Branch of the Public Library (refer to the map below) at 6:30pm sharp.

It’s always a great idea to ride with lights, but especially so this time of year! By this time of the season we have ironed out the wrinkles: communication on rides has been fantastic as of late, and let’s plan to keep it that way.

Please remember the Wednesday group ride pace guidelines:
A: 28-30km/h
B: 26-28km/h
C: 24-26km/h

Sunday C July 28th 8:00am Start

Hello Sunday C riders! If you haven’t joined on a Sunday ride this year, this is a great chance to start. We’ll leave the East Branch of the Public library at 8:00am and meander down Watson, across 6, and around some of the flatter roads around Valens Conservation Area. Please bring enough water and food, as there is no stop scheduled on this medium ride!

This group will be riding at a social pace of 26-28km/h. If this is your first ride this year, or first in a while, be sure to review all of the excellent info in our “New Members” resources page.

Wednesday June 26th A/B/C Rides, 6:30pm

Reason 10,000 why being a cyclist is great: my friends can always ask me what the forecast is, knowing that I’ll have looked at it already. Wednesday evening looks lovely, albeit a tad windy. I really enjoyed the route we did almost a month ago on May 29th, so let’s do it again! See below for the A/B route (first map), as well as the C route (second map).

Please be ready to roll from the East Branch of the Public Library for 6:30pm. There are two routes below: the A/B rides will take the longer route (first map), and the C ride will take the second, slightly shorter route.

First ride with SRCC? Check out our New Members Area! First ride with SRCC this year? Get re-learned with our Group Ride Guidelines and the Safety and Skills pages. Get the route loaded to your GPS and the tires inflated, and we’ll see you there!

There are three pace levels for Wednesdays, as per our new Ride Schedule:
Wednesday A: 28-30km/h
Wednesday B: 26-28km/h (ride leader James)
Wednesday C: 24-26km/h (ride leader Meg)
