Wednesday May 29th 6:30pm A/B/C Rides

Dare I say the weather looks perfect for this ride? I do. I do dare. Please be ready to roll from the East Branch of the Public Library for 6:30pm. There are two routes below: the A/B rides will take the longer route (first map), and the C ride will take the second, slightly shorter route.

First ride with SRCC? Check out our New Members Area! First ride with SRCC this year? Get re-learned with our Group Ride Guidelines and the Safety and Skills pages. Get the lights charged, the route loaded to your GPS, the tires pumped, and we’ll see you there!

There are three pace levels for Wednesdays, as per our new Ride Schedule:
Wednesday A: 28-30km/h
Wednesday B: 26-28km/h
Wednesday C: 24-26km/h

Tuesday Interval Night (TIN) Ride, April 9th 6:00pm – ALL Members Welcome!

Welcome to the First Ride of the Season!

New for 2019, Tuesday Interval Night (TIN) Ride begins at the Arkell United Church (not the Library! Click the text to see it on Google Maps).

It is a fun evening of riding where ALL club members can participate and work on the elements they desire: fitness, speed, endurance or just another nice night for a ride.

Riders will be organized into appropriate “waves”/groups of their choosing. Relaxed and Moderate groups will ride in a Social Paceline rotation and more Advanced groups will focus on High Intensity Interval Training. The circuit is comprised of quiet rural roads. There will be up to seven speed groups: everything from a dedicated “Learn to Group Ride” wave, all the way up to Hammerfest.

Check out our TIN Ride webpage for all the details. From the serious racer to the recreational rider, this is a terrific addition to your week. This ride has something for everyone. You are in for a treat!

Wednesday Social Ride | July 12th, 6:30pm

CANCELLED: Between the radar’s imagery and Environment Canada’s Severe Thunderstorm warning, I am not going to wait until 5:00pm to cancel the official club ride for this evening. If a few brave souls want to ride the route, then please ride safe: the forecast is calling for high winds. A longer route while the days are still long. Check your tires before you leave, and bring your membership card and lights. Weather is looking iffy in the PM, so keep an eye here and I will make the call no later than 5pm. Note that next week is TT week!
